Simpl aims to touch 100M checkouts on Zepto by 2026; expands online Khata experience on Zepto Pass

Simpl, India’s foremost Checkout Network, today announced its aim to increase its checkouts on Zepto, India’s fastest-growing e-grocery service, to 100 million by 2026, through the integration of its industry-first Instant Checkout on Zepto Pass to enhance experience for millions of customers across the country.

This combination of an online kirana store like Zepto coupled with a traditional Khata-like experience online from Simpl offers speed in deliveries, convenience of an instant checkout along with rewards, making it a win-win for millions of consumers across the country. This initiative is built on the premise of an offline kirana store experience for consumers where they can access their needs seamlessly and clear all their bills at once. This partnership assumes significance as loyalty program users reflect a higher propensity to purchase more frequently with a higher order value.

Simpl partnered with Zepto in January 2022 and has witnessed over 13 million checkouts till date with a higher-than-average industry retention rate. The platform also saw the highest-ever single transaction for quick delivery of nearly Rs 18,566 through Simpl’s Instant Checkout on Zepto in 2023. Interestingly, a user made 141 transactions with Simpl on Zepto in the month of November 2023 to the tune of Rs 1.38 lakh. These have been the outcome of a greater collaboration with Zepto in enhancing the integration, retaining the customers.

Quick commerce has been one of the fastest-growing categories for Simpl, witnessing an increase of nearly 50% year-on-year in transactions and 25% growth in average order value over in Feb 2024 vs 2023, in a testament to the growing adoption of its instant checkout by customers, thereby contributing to the industry’s growth.
