Earlier this year, Samsung launched its Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 smartphones in China. Now, the detailed specifications of the Galaxy C9 (model number SM-C9000) have surfaced online on a Geekbench benchmark listing.
As per the listing, the upcoming handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The listing further highlights the smartphone as having a single-core score of 1304 and multi-core score of 4366. This may be the first mid-range smartphone from Samsung to have 6GB of RAM. It’s worth noting that even the top-end Galaxy A9 Pro of the A series has only 4GB of RAM.
Other rumoured specifications of the Galaxy C9 include a 6-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution and dual-SIM functionality. Samsung Galaxy C9 is expected to have a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, along with a 16MP front shooter for selfies.
Connectivity options are likely to include 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, along with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The Galaxy C9 will also have a substantial battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. It’s expected to launch in China soon.
Recently, Samsung launched its Galaxy On8 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 15,900, the handset will be exclusively available on Flipkart in Gold, Black and White colour options from October 2 under the Big Billion Days promotion.
Samsung Galaxy On8 features a 5.5-inch Full HD Super Amoled display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It sports a brushed metal finish on the back and diamond cut metal frame on the sides.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, Samsung Galaxy On8 is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor clubbed with 3GB RAM. It also comes with 16GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD cards.
