After numerous leaks and rumours, Samsung has finally launched its samsung-galaxy-a9Galaxy A9 Pro smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 32,390, the dual-sim capable handset features a glass and metal body. It comes in Gold, Black and White colour options and will be available in stores starting September 26.

The key highlight of the Galaxy A9 Pro is its large 5,000mAh battery. It is worth adding that there are quite a few smartphones already available in the market with similar battery capacities, including Gionee Marathon M5 Plus and Asus Zenfone Max. Samsung claims that the big battery can deliver talktime of up to 32.5 hours and video playback time of up to 26 hours. The smartphone also sports fast charging technology, which can charge the battery from 0% to 100% in just 2 hours. A 30-minute charge can recharge the battery up to 32%.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and features a 6-inch Full HD Super Amoled display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM. There’s 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD cards.

For imaging duties, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a 16MP autofocus rear camera and an 8MP front-facing snapper. Additional features include fingerprint scanner, Samsung Knox, S-Voice and screen mirroring. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and NFC.

Samsung recently launched the S-Pen compatible version of its 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab A tablet. The device is listed on Samsung’s South Korea website and comes in both 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only variants. Apart from 4G sim support, both versions have identical hardware specifications.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is already available in South Korea. While the LTE version is priced at 489,000 South Korean Won (roughly Rs 29,100), there are no details about the price of the Wi-Fi only version yet.
