Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) Spotted In Images, Specifications Detailed

Samsung is about to give its A8 smartphone, launched last year, a samsungrefresh. A set of device renders, purported to be of the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), have been posted on Twitter by well-known tipster OnLeaks. smartphone series called as the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016). Some specifications of the device have also been posted.

As seen in the renders, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) has a 2.5D arc glass covered front panel. Below the display is a physical Home button, flanked by two capacitive buttons. The device is also seen having a metal-lined bezel and chamfered edges. The back panel seems to have a glass-like finish. A 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port are at the bottom.

As per the tweet by OnLeaks, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is about 7.3mm in thickness. In comparison, both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 7 are 7.9mm thick. The speaker seems to have been relocated as well and is now placed at the right.

Although Samsung has not mentioned the launch date of the Galaxy A8 (2016), the naming scheme indicates that it might launch soon this year.

Samsung is also rumoured to be working on its Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphone. The handset was recently spotted listed on GFXBench benchmarking website. As per the website listing, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will be powered by an octa core CPU clubbed with 3GB of RAM and have 32GB of in-built storage. The unannounced smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. For imaging duties, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will sport 16MP cameras both at the front and rear. It is also expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
