“Remove China App” by OneTouch AppLabs taken down by Google from Play Store

Earlier today, a re-known app “Remove China App”, which had just been launched a few weeks ago and crossed millions of downloads, has been taken down by Google. The reason is still not known that why did Google took Remove China App down from Play Store.

A tweet from OneTouch AppLabs was noticed before stating that their app has been suspended, reason unknown. The App may have violated the policies of Google of uploading an app to the Play Store. Mitron App was taken down for the same reason, because it may have violated the policy by Google.

Remove China App had a function that scanned the user’s device, and removed all of the app that were registered in the Country of China.

“Apps must not attempt to mimic functionality or warnings from the operating system or other apps. Any changes to device settings must be made with the user’s knowledge and consent and be easily reversible by the user”, as per Google’s policy for Android Apps.

The decision was made by google to pull the Remove China Apps for violating Google Play’s Deceptive Behavior Policy that doesn’t allow apps that “encourage or incentivize users into removing or disabling third-party apps” and “mislead users into removing or disabling third-party apps”.
