Explaining the objective behind the bandh, Sugreev Singh Ranavat, President, RCTA, said, “All the IT resellers will remain closed today to register protest against the unfair trade practices of the etailers. They are using their huge marketing funds for massive discounting of products, which are sold at 30-40 percent discount to prevailing MoP. Moreover, they are not paying VAT and local taxes while delivering the product, which is a huge loss to the Exchequer.”
