Two recent phone introductions for India are the Nokia X and the Sony Xperia E1. Both are available as dual-SIM handsets and are not too far apart in price, so today we’re looking at the Nokia X vs. Sony Xperia E1 in a dual-SIM showdown for India.

If you’re thinking of buying one of these this comparison may be useful, as we’ll compare the key specs so that you can see what they have to offer. The Nokia X is available in a dual-SIM option while the Sony Xperia E1 Dual is a dual-SIM version of the single-SIM Xperia E1.

Display
The Nokia X has a 4-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 800 x 480 and 233 ppi and theXperia E1 has a 4-inch TFT display with the same resolution and ppi.

There’s 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 32GB) for the Nokia X, and exactly the same for the Xperia E1.

Camera set-up
The Nokia X has a 3.15-megapixel rear camera with 480p video capture. The Xperia E1 has a 3.15-megapixel rear camera with WVGA video recording capability. Neither has a front-facing camera.

The Nokia X measures 115.5mm x 63mm x 10.4mm and weighs 128.7g. On the other hand the Xperia E1 Dual measures 118mm x 62.4mm x 12mm and weighs just 122g.

Pricing
This varies by retailer but the Nokia X can be purchased for around Rs. 8,500. The Xperia E1 Dual is on sale for around Rs. 9,700.

As you can see from the above specs there really are plenty of similarities between these two handsets, with the same screen size and resolution, same storage, and both lacking a secondary camera. Therefore it’s pretty difficult to choose between them and your choice may come down to your personal preference of design, branding, or the price you can find on the day.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this though, so would welcome comments from readers. If you are trying to choose between these two handsets, will you opt for the Nokia X Dual SIM or the Sony Xperia E1 Dual?
