NComputing, the leader in accelerating the adoption of desktop virtualisation, has been recognised as the fastest growing vendor in the worldwide enterprise client device market in the second quarter of 2013. According to the IDC Worldwide Enterprise Client Device Tracker Q2 2013, published September 25, 2013, NComputing showed 70% QoQ growth, as well as 65% YoY growth, far stronger than Dell Wyse or HP. The impressive showing closed the market share gap between NComputing and the two traditional market leaders to just a few percentage points.
The report tracked quarterly growth and shipments from Q2 2012 to Q2 2013 for 583 thin client vendors, with NComputing not only as the third ranked vendor for worldwide client device shipments, but with the highest growth QoQ and YoY. The report also shows that NComputing dramatically increased its number one market share position in the APAC/Japan region, with QoQ growth of 138.93%.
According to the report, NComputing is #1 Desktop Virtualisation Company in India with a market share of 78.43%. The company has also maintained its leadership position with 30.7%3 market share in the APAC region, miles ahead of some decades-old IT majors.
Manish Sharma, Vice President-Asia Pacific, NComputing, Inc. said, “We appreciate the recognition accorded to us, of being the leader in the desktop virtualisation market space. All this would not have been possible without the support of Redington, our value added national distributor, and our strong base of 800 partners spread across 120 (plus) cities in India”
He added, “Going forward, we intend to expand the market further through introduction of new products and programmes aimed at nurturing the existing customer and partner/channel base and growing it further by augmenting customer experience and increasing adoption of our solutions. NComputing India’s new website (www.ncomputing.com/India), launched recently, will also serve as the key platform to facilitate seamless communication with our key stakeholders and customers, and contribute towards strengthening our relationship with them.”
NComputing also attributes this growth to a combination of accelerating adoption in mid-market/SMB, as well as enterprise, along with share gains versus Dell Wyse and HP. In general, the market grew 7.4%3 QoQ, and by next year, market growth is expected to be over 10%4 YoY. Market pressures, budget constraints and an enterprise focus on mobility are driving organisations to desktop virtualisation as a viable alternative to traditional PC computing.
NComputing is gaining global interest and market share based on its unique combination of simplicity, performance and value and proven capabilities in high priority initiatives, including BYOD and migration to new Windows operating environments.
NComputing is leading desktop virtualisation innovation forward in both hardware and software with more than 20 million daily users in 140 countries. The company recently announced major enhancements to its N-series line of Citrix® Ready HDX™ thin clients, which feature NComputing’s unique and powerful System on Chip (SoC) technology. A new version of the vSpace Desktop and Application Virtualisation Software was also recently announced. This technology is the ideal choice for organisations looking to take full advantage of the benefits of desktop virtualisation, but do not want to deal with the typical cost and complexities associated with acquiring, deploying and maintaining a desktop virtualisation solution.

NComputing has enjoyed number one market share in the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions for several years with our client computing solutions that have set the industry standard for simplicity and price-performance. I am very pleased that in the second quarter of 2013, NComputing also achieved faster than market growth in Europe and North America. Growing at a more rapid pace in both raw numbers and in market share than the largest vendors Dell and HP, NComputing is poised to disrupt the entire market for desktop virtualisation. The market can expect to see more growth from NComputing as we ready the next generation of our solutions and continue to deliver ahead of market demand.”
