New OnePlus 5 images leak, device shows up on benchmarking website

More leaks about OnePlus’ upcoming ‘flagship killer’ smartphone – OnePlus 5 – have surfaced online. Some images of the OnePlus 5’s alleged renders have been shared by Pocket Lint and Android Pure websites, with the latter also sharing a screenshot of the smartphone’s AnTuTu benchmark listing. As per the image shared by Android Pure, the upcoming OnePlus 5 will sport a similar front panel as the current OnePlus 3T. However, the alleged dual-camera setup at the back is different. Instead of having a vertical dual-camera module as shown in previous leaks, the renders show the smartphone as having a horizontal dual-camera module. An LED flash is placed below the cameras.

According to the screenshot detailing the AnTuTu listing of the smartphone, the upcoming OnePlus 5 carries model number A5000. This is in line with previous models, as the OnePlus 3 had the model number A3000.

The listing also highlights some of the purported specifications of the smartphones, including Android 7.1.1 Nougat (most likely serving as base for Oxygen OS), Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, Adreno 540 GPU, Full HD (1080×1920 pixels resolution) display, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of base internal storage. The dual-camera setup at the back is expected to have two 16MP modules. The listing shows the smartphone having an AnTuTu score of 1,76,000, which is the highest among all the current flagship smartphones, claims the report.

On the other hand, Pocket Lint website’s version of the OnePlus 5 renders show the handset with a vertical dual-camera setup at the back. However, this image has been earlier shared on the listing page of a CHinese website – Geekbuying. Interestingly, the listing reveals slightly-different hardware specifications. One of the two rear cameras is expected to have a 23MP sensor. A 16MP front-facing camera is also expected. dual rear cameras are said to include a 23MP sensor. Some other alleged specifications include 8GB of RAM, 5.5-inch QuadHD display, and 4,000mAh battery.
