MOTO X40 will launch in December and support IP68 water resistance

The name Motorola is well-known in the mobile phone sector. It is actually one of the market’s oldest brands. However, the corporation has been working hard to regain its former grandeur after falling behind on modern trends a few years ago. However, Motorola is still a major player in the mobile phone industry. The Moto X40, the business’ newest flagship gadget, is about to be unveiled. One of the companies using the premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is Motorola. This chip will be used by the Moto X40.

The Motorola Moto X40 will offer IP68 dust and water resistance, according to Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile phone business section in China. He added that the release would be around December.

He wrote, “The Moto X40 this time supports IP68 waterproofing. We would like to call it the SUV in the mobile phone. December, get ready to go!”

Data readily available indicates that the maximum level of waterproof and dustproof specifications is IP68. The two numerals XX behind IPXX are mostly used to assess how sturdy and waterproof the shell is. The highest level of dustproofing is level 6, which is represented by the first X. The waterproof level of the second X ranges from 0 to 8, with 8 being the highest rating. The IEC has a rather strict criteria for an IP rating of 8 in the last digit.
