Microsoft’s Copilot artificial intelligence (AI) is now capable of assisting in the deployment of field workers

Microsoft is integrating its Copilot AI assistant into its field services platform to provide generative AI support for frontline field workers.

Originally introduced in March, Copilot was used for generating text for PowerPoint presentations on Microsoft 365 platforms.

Now, it’s being added to Dynamics 365, a service utilized by field workers such as technicians and repair personnel.

This integration streamlines workflows and enhances supervisors’ insight into technicians’ activities.

Copilot automates service request information and enables supervisors to review work orders before dispatching them.

It will also recommend suitable technicians based on factors like travel time and skill set. This initiative aims to increase efficiency for field workers while offering better visibility to customers.

The 3D spatial annotation feature in Teams video calling further aids technicians by visually highlighting issues during remote assistance.
