Micromax’s sub-brand Yu to launch a new smartphone in India soon

Micromax’s sub-brand Yu Televentures is all set to launch a new smartphone in India. The company has tweeted a teaser through its official Twitter handle.
The tweet reads, “Black never goes out of style, Yureka Black coming soon”. Going by the tweet, it seems that the company will launch a Black colour variant of its Yu Yureka smartphone, which was launched in 2014.
For those unaware, Yu Yureka has a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution, secured with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, the phone has 16GB internal storage and supports microSD cards of up to 128GB in size.
Micromax’s Yu Yureka runs Cyanogen OS and features a 13MP rear camera with Full HD video recording functionality. It also has a 5MP front-facing snapper.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM Yu Yureka supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 2,500mAh battery rounds up the smartphone’s spec sheet.
Recently, Micromax launched its flagship smartphone Dual 5 in India at Rs 24,999. The Micromax Dual 5 sports metal unibody with narrow bezels. The highlight of the smartphone is its dual 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash. The front camera too is 13MP with soft LED flash for selfies. The 13MP dual rear camera comes with Sony sensors, one with monochrome lens for capturing details and other with RGB lens. Dual 5 is also the first smartphone from Micromax to sport USB Type C.
