Micromax’s Redmi 2 killer Priced Less than Rs 6,000: Sources

micromax-mobiles-shop-reuters-635Indian handset brand Micromax is gearing up to launch a new entry-level Android smartphone that will offer features rivalling premium budget phones from Xiaomi, Motorola and Lenovo.

According to industry sources, Micromax’s new phone is an entry-level device phone is likely to be priced below Rs 6,000 and sold via flash sale model on Snapdeal most likely starting last week of April. ​The phone will sport a screen that will measure between 4.3- to 5-inch and be powered by a quad core processor. Other details are not known at the moment. 

During a Twitter chat with Snapdeal, Micromax disclosed that the company will be launching a new smartphone for which it would need the online marketplace’s help. However, it did not elaborate on the features or positioning of the phone.
