Launch of Mi 10T and Pro

The new Mi smartphones are introducing in the country on 15th October 2020. The MD of Xiaomi India has confirmed the launch of the 2 smartphones in the country soon after its global launch the previous week. The new smartphones will have a similar display design of hole-punch and it will also offer a refresh rate of 144Hz. Whereas the MD of the company hasn’t mentioned anything specific about the Mi 10T Lite.

The managing director of Xiaomi India has proclaimed the launch of the new Mi smartphones in India. He confirmed the launch dates of the smartphones and the event will start at noon. These phones were introduced worldwide the previous week at EUR 499 and EUR 599 respectively. In India too, the phones will be priced in the same range.

Although it is not mentioned yet about the Mi 10T Lite the Indian version of the phone was seen on Bluetooth SIG. Both the universal as well as the Indian model have been addressed on the certification site. It gives some hints about the Mi 10T Lite might also launch in the country, but it can arrive later.

Specifications
The smartphones (10T 5G and 10T pro 5G) are supposed to run on MIUI 12 which is based on Android 10. The 10T 5G features a display of 6.67-inch full-HD+ with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The 10T Pro 5G features a display of 6.67-inch full-HD+ with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels.

Both the phones have octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC which is coupled with a RAM of 8G. The Mi 10T arrives with a storage of 128GB. While the Mi 10T Pro arrives with 2 storage variants of 128GB and 256GB.

In 10T 5G, there is the triple rear camera setup that can house a primary sensor of 64-mp and a secondary sensor of 13-mp that has an ultra-wide-angle lens on top. The camera setup also comprises of a macro lens sensor of 5-mp.
In 10T Pro, there is a primary sensor of 108-mp with optical image stabilization, it also has a secondary sensor of 13-mp with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a macro lens sensor of 5-mp. Both the phones have a selfie camera sensor of 20-mp.

The company has provided a battery life of 5,000mAh and it also supports fast charging of 33 Watts. The Mi 10T Pro has also the same battery life with the same 33Watt of fast charging support. Like other big smartphone making companies, Xiaomi has also provided with various connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port. There is also a presence of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on both smartphones.
