The latest IDC WLAN tracking report reveals TP-LINK has maintained a dominant lead in the global WLAN market share rankings by units shipped in Q4 of 2012, continuing to lead the industry in global WLAN market share in the whole of 2012. IDC is a leading IT market research and advisory, ranking the world’s wireless networking equipment vendors by product shipments and revenues.
With a 36.36% share of the WLAN market based on unit shipments in Q4, according to IDC’s final Q4 2012 release of the Worldwide Quarterly WLAN Tracker, the company’s market share is far beyond that of other leading brands, almost 20 percent ahead of TP-LINK’s nearest competitor, and even higher than the next 4 tracked brands’ market share combined.
With regard to annual market share for the whole year, “We will not set goals for the coming year, for none of us know the limit, we will just make a serious effort to do every little thing to improve our business, as we have always done.” says Jeffery Chao, TP-LINK Director of International Business, commenting on the company’s goals for 2013.
Having consistently been ranked the world’s largest supplier of Wireless networking products by unit shipments, at least from Q1 2011, the earliest data that IDC has on record for TP-LINK, where WLAN market share was 24.41%, the market continues to see rapid growth. The overall success has come from a focus on the networking and communications industry to provide the best quality both in product and especially in service. What has been the driving force for TP-LINK is that the company always strives to ensure that they function in a way that makes customer’s lives easier.
