IPL Media Rights: Disney Star gets TV deal for Rs 23,575 crore, Viacom 18 bags digital for Rs.20,500 crore

Disney star has won the Indian IPL subcontinent TV rights for a whooping price of Rs.23,573 crore while Viacom 18 got the digital rights of Rs.20,500 crore at media auction on Monday in New Delhi. BCCI set its way to the bank after selling IPL TV  and digital rights of Indian Subcontinent for a combined amount of Rs.44,075 crore. The combined match value from Indian TV and Digital Rights per game is 107.5 crore.

As per the information, Package A of Indian Subcontinent TV Rights for 410 IPL matches  of five seasons from 2023 to 2027 has been sold for Rs.23,575 crore and per game is equal to Rs.57.5 crore. Viacom18 offered Rs.50crore per game to Indian Subcontinent digital Rights. Package B for five seasons is sold for Rs. 20,500 crore. And thus BCCI becomes richer by Rs.44,075 crore after selling these two packages.
