Intex has launched two new budget Android smartphones, the Aqua 3G+ and Aqua V 3G, priced at Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 3,170 respectively.

The company has listed both the new Intex Aqua-series smartphones on its website; however, there is no official word yet about the availability of these handsets.

Both the Intex Aqua 3G+ and Intex Aqua V 3G smartphones share some of the common specifications. They are powered by a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum (SC7715) processor coupled with 256MB of RAM. Both the Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based smartphones come with dual-SIM support.

Notably, both the new budget smartphones support 3G connectivity, one of the highlights of the handsets at the price point. Apart from 3G, other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. Both also pack 0.3-megapixel front cameras.

There are few differences however, such as the Aqua 3G+ bearing 2GB of ROM storage, while the Aqua V 3G comes with 512MB, and both feature microSD card slots supporting up to 32GB cards. The Aqua 3G+ features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and sports 3.2-megapixel rear camera, while the Aqua V 3G comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) display and packs a 2-megapixel camera.

Another notable difference between the two budget Intex handsets is in the battery department – the Aqua 3G+ packs a 1400mAh battery and the Aqua V 3G comes with a 1300mAh battery.

The Aqua 3G+ measures 124×63.5×9.5mm, weighs 110 grams and will be available in Black, Blue, Grey, and White colours. The Aqua V 3G, on the other hand, will be available in Black, Brown, and White colours, measures 115.1x62x9.5mm and weighs 104.3 grams.

Earlier this week, Intex launched the Aqua A1 budget smartphone, which was listed on the company’s site at a price of Rs. 4,030.
