InnoPath And Fujitsu Partner To Bring Cloud-Based Over-The-Air Update Technology To The STYLISTIC S01 Android Smartphone.

imagesInnoPath Software, the world leader in over-the-air mobile device care, announced today that its mobileUpdate™ client technology has been selected by Fujitsu for integration in the human-centric and senior-friendly smartphone, the STYLISTIC S01, to be launched on the Orange network in France. mobileUpdate™ is part of innoPath’s prescriptive mobileMD™ solution suite (www.innopath.com/solution). The intuitive usability of mobileUpdate directly facilitates the senior-friendly focus. The robust download operations and traffic management capabilities allow Fujitsu to ensure that downloads are optimally handled over Wi-Fi, and are successful in even the most challenged network environments. Fujitsu has access to mobileMD’s over-the-air mobileUpdate™ technology which encompasses the mobileUpdate client and SaaS service. Fujitsu will be able to quickly and confidently push fixes and functionality ensuring smooth operation of the smart devices.

Each year, device returns cost an estimated 4 billion USD. How can carriers and OEMs respond to this escalating expense? As a first step, they can do what repair centers do: make sure each device is running the latest version of software,” said John Fazio, CEO, innoPath. “The ability to proactively update devices over-the-air, before a problem or complaint arises, is no longer a luxury, but a business requirement. innoPath enables quite large updates up to 1GB, enabling Fujitsu to update any or all elements of their device software without stress or worry.

Thanks to innoPath’s mobileUpdate technology, Fujitsu can now provide high quality devices to consumers in France, providing timely updates to their important smartphone customers. innoPath’s mobileUpdate technology, proven in Japan, is globally available allowing Fujitsu to easily expand their territories to other regions with the same high level of quality Fujitsu relies on in their domestic market,” said Katsumi Takada, Corporate Vice President, Head of Mobile Phone Unit, Fujitsu Limited.
