Smartphone brand Infinix has unveiled its latest mid-premium gaming-focused device, the GT 30 5G+, in India. Positioned to appeal to mobile gamers and tech enthusiasts, the phone combines high-performance hardware, dedicated gaming controls, AI-powered tools, and a bold new design.
The GT 30 5G+ will go on sale from 14 August exclusively via Flipkart, with a starting price of ₹19,499. Launch offers bring the effective price down to ₹17,999 for a limited period.
Gaming-Focused Features
A highlight of the GT 30 5G+ is its segment-first GT Shoulder Gaming Triggers, designed to provide console-style tactile controls for competitive gaming. The device has also received Krafton certification for 90FPS gameplay in BGMI, ensuring smoother in-game performance.
The phone sports a Cyber Mecha 2.0 design, which integrates programmable white LED lighting that can react dynamically to notifications, charging status, and music playback — adding a touch of personalisation for gamers.
Performance and Cooling
Under the hood, the GT 30 5G+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM (including virtual RAM expansion). For sustained performance during intense gaming sessions, Infinix has equipped the phone with a six-layer 3D vapor chamber cooling system. The company claims this offers 20% better heat dissipation compared to the previous generation
Immersive Display
The GT 30 5G+ features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 2160Hz touch sampling rate for ultra-responsive touch inputs. The panel delivers peak brightness of 4500 nits for better outdoor visibility and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The device also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, enhancing durability.
Camera System with AI Tools
The phone’s rear camera setup includes a 64MP Sony primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, there’s a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, with the front camera offering screen flash for improved low-light selfies.
Infinix has also integrated AI-powered editing tools, including AI Extender, AI Eraser, and AI Cutout, to make post-processing faster and more intuitive.
Battery and Charging
Powering the GT 30 5G+ is a 5500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The phone also includes bypass charging — a feature that powers the device directly while gaming to reduce heat — and reverse charging to supply power to other devices.
Software and AI Integration
The device runs XOS 15 based on Android 15 and comes with several AI utilities, such as AI Note, Writing Assistant, and the Folax voice assistant. Infinix has committed to delivering two major Android updates and three years of security patches, ensuring long-term usability.
Variants, Colours, and Availability
The GT 30 5G+ will be offered in Cyber Green, Pulse Blue, and Blade White colour options. Two storage variants will be available:
-
8GB + 128GB – ₹19,499
-
8GB + 256GB – ₹20,999
As part of an introductory offer, Infinix is also providing a GT Gaming Kit bundle for purchases made via the company’s official website.
With features like high refresh rate display, console-style triggers, advanced cooling, and AI-powered tools, the Infinix GT 30 5G+ aims to carve out a space in the competitive mid-premium segment, especially among gamers. Its pricing and launch offers could make it an attractive option for those seeking performance and style without moving into flagship territory.
The combination of MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 processor, ample RAM, a gamer-centric design, and AI integrations positions the GT 30 5G+ as a versatile choice for both work and play. With sales beginning mid-August, Infinix will soon see if the GT 30 5G+ can replicate the success of its earlier GT series models in India’s fast-moving smartphone market.
