Indian cricket fans across the world can now show solidarity with their home team with Google+ face paint feature

As the Cricket World Cup (#cwc15) fever gathers steam, fans are keen to use any opportunity available to express and highlight their support for their favourite team. Keeping with this spirit, Indian fans watching the game live from the stadium; pub or sitting back home can now display their support for their favourite team by using an innovative tool on Google+ to paint their faces using a new face paint feature. Using the G+ face paint tool, fans can chose their team’s country flag or flag colors on to a photo of their choice.

To join the legions of fans already making use of this tool, cricket fans anywhere in the world simply need to log into their G+ account and upload your (or your loved one’s) favourite picture with the preferred message supported by the hashtag #PaintIndia. That’s not all. If the fans wish to publicly share their face-painted pictures on Google+ for a chance to be shown on ICC’s official website http://www.icc-cricket.com/cricket-world-cup they just need to add the hashtag #cwc15fans with their message for the team. Some of these publicly shared pictures by fans supporting their favourite teams on Google+ can be viewed here – g.co/CricketFacePaint.
Fans can also search and see pictures from fellow Indian fans with searches for #PaintIndia. Some of the active hashtags if you wish to see global fans supporting their teams on Google+.
