Huawei Presents Intelligent Data Center Industry At The Datacenter Dynamics Conference

Huawei shared its insights on the development of the data center industry at the Datacenter Dynamics Conference (DCD) in London. At the event, Huawei hosted an in-depth discussion on intelligent data centers and presented its Uninterrupted Power Supply data series.

huwaeiAs the energy efficiency of data centers continues to become a concern for the industry in Europe, Huawei is leading the push to solve the problems of high capital expenditure, high energy consumption and inefficient operations and maintenance which traditional data centers encounter. At the DCD, Roland Huempfner, Senior Network Energy expert at Huawei, introduced the Huawei Intelligent Data Center solution, highlighting its improved energy efficiency achieved by combining selected components, infrastructures and IT equipment, as well as optimized power and cooling capacities. These improvements help operators reduce their costs and deliver an improved service to end-users.

During a technical discussion, Li Guoqiang, Marketing Director, Huawei Data Center Solutions, addressed the topic of using the Intelligent Data Center for business efficiency. During the session, he explained how Huawei’s solution helps clients to improve revenue when compared with using traditional data centers. Mr. Li added, “more cloud computing data center deployments are driven by industry value transfer. By using the traditional method of setting up a data center it has become difficult to satisfy deployment demands. Infrastructure standardization and management automation have become new trends for the industry to help data center owners reduce deployment time by up to 50 per cent and improve the center efficiency through remote operation. In comparison studies, Huawei’s Intelligent Data Center provides a better return in investment over a three year period, making it attractive to investors.”

In addition to the Intelligent Data Center solutions discussed at the conference, Huawei also presented their Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) series. The modular design of the products attracted the audience at the DCD. The solutions meet the demand from operators to deliver sustainable and energy efficient options in Europe. The UPS 5000-E series provides reliable, scalable, and high-efficiency uninterruptable power for large and medium sized data centers, network centers and offices.

The DCD in London brings together the people, processes and technologies necessary to help industry experts develop a world class data center strategy. The event forms part of a multi-track conference program aimed at keeping Europe’s most senior data center professionals up to speed with an industry changing at lightning speed.
