HTC Rolls Out Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update For HTC One (M8).HTC has also rolled out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the One (M7) developer edition.

QdPf65034AM7302014Taiwanese smartphone main HTC has started rolling out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update along with Sense 6 UI for its One (M8) developer edition smartphone. HTC recently took to Twitter to make the formal announcement. Further, other variants of the device will start receiving this update soon, informed HTC.

The developer edition Android 4.4.3 KitKat OTA update is 592.17 MB in size, according to a posting on XDA developers’ forum. It must be noted that HTC’s Vice President of Management, Mo Versi had earlier tweeted that the 4.4.3 KitKat update would arrive early on last week, informing that the update would bring security fixes from 4.4.4 Kitkat to the One (8). Meanwhile, HTC has also rolled out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the One (M7) developer edition. However, other variants of the M7 will most likely not receive the update as indicated earlier by Versi. The other variants of the M7 would instead are expected to jump straight to Android L update.

The HTC One (M8) comes with a 12.7-cm (5-inch) 1080p display and runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. It further packs 2GB RAM, a 2600 mAh battery and is powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the company’s brand new Sense 6 UI on top. The smartphone comes with a exclusive feature of dual-rear cameras with UltraPixel technology. The highlight of the device is its dual rear camera. While the main camera of the M8 is a 4-UltraPixel resolution one, the second rear camera captures depth information, giving the phone the ability to do refocus images and background uncovering better. The device also features a 5MP front camera.
