HP Moves to Bang & Olufsen for High-End Sound in PCs, Tablets

HP and Bang & Olufsen announced a collaboration that brings the T-HP-BO_Image--C-tcm245-1939555--CT-tcm245-1085601-32globally recognized sound of Bang & Olufsen and B&O PLAY to HP’s new devices. HP announced HP Omen with Bang & Olufsen and a range of HP Pavilion Notebooks with B&O Play to deliver powerful and immersive audio experience. State-of-the-art sound and tuning from Bang & Olufsen transforms HP Notebooks into a soundstage where entertainment comes alive to awaken the senses with the sound one can feel. These devices also feature customizable graphic equalizer that helps the user create a personalized audio experience.

The HP Omen Gaming notebook with Bang & Olufsen is designed specifically for hardcore gamers. Aggressive, yet stylish, the 15.6 inch laptop, delivers the power to dominate with a stunning design to give users the ultimate gaming experience. Constructed out of premium aluminum, HP has outfitted the Omen with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 GB gaming graphics and an Intel® Core™ i7 Quad Core processor(1), along with a 1920 x 1080 Full high definition (HD) display(2). The Omen features a customizable back-lit keyboard with six programmable function keys, weighing just 2.12kgs (3) and is only 19.9mm thick.
The new Pavilion notebooks come with a refined Uni-body design with premium metal like finish on the outside and superior gradient dual tone finish inside. These notebooks are also equipped with full HD screen (1920X1080 pixels) which provides an outstanding, detailed, and crisp picture quality. And with the latest fifth generation Intel Core processors, the new range of notebooks makes the overall computing experience enjoyable for the user.

Customers want bold, crisp and accurate audio. They expect their devices to have fantastic sound reproduction whether using headphones or built in speakers. Customers also want to enhance sound to their liking.

HP and Bang & Olufsen will custom tune each notebook for precise sound. The new range of notebooks has a dedicated audio island that isolates the sensitive audio circuits from other signals on the motherboard. The headphone jack limits the amount of metal parts to reduce ground noise to help further perfect the audio experience on the devices.

Because customers want the ability to customize their audio for movies, music and voice, HP devices include an audio control panel. This allows customers to customize and enhance their audio experience based on preset configurations tuned by HP and Bang & Olufsen. Customers can choose from optimized presets or manually tune the sound to their liking.
