HP Has Introduced Windows 8.1 Based Gaming Laptop

HP has introduced Windows 8.1 based gaming laptop, named as HP Omen on Tuesday with the price tag of $1,499 (approx Rs. 91,900). “Gamers play to win and expect their PCs to do the same.” Mike Nash, vice president, product management, consumer personal systems at HP said,

He further added, “The HP Omen delivers the power to dominate with a HP_Laptop_Itvoicestunning design to give gamers the ultimate gaming experience.” HP Omen sports 39.62-cm (15.6-inch) full-HD IPS touch screen with (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, front-facing Beats Audio speakers along with multicolour lighting. It comes with an extra wide touchpad and also supports HP TrueVision full-HD web camera.

HP Omen laptop, designed for gamers is powered by fourth-generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor (4 cores, 8 threads, 2.5GHz base clock, turbo up to 3.5GHz, 6MB cache), along with Hyper-Threading and Intel HD Graphics 4600. The gaming laptop has got dedicated graphics, in the form of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M, with option of either 2048MB or 4096MB video memory.

It involves a customisable RGB-backlit keyboard with key spacing and travel optimisation for gaming and also six programmable function keys. The HP Omen laptop comes with 8GB and 16GB options for 1600MHz of DDR3 RAM. It involves 128GB SATA SSD which can be further extended by user to 256GB or 512GB PCIe SSD. It packs 58 Watt hour 4-cell Li-Ion battery which as per the company is capable of delivering up to 4.45 hours.
