HONOR prepares for a comeback in India and announces plans to introduce new smartphones in the country

Chinese smartphone manufacturer HONOR is set to reenter the Indian market and has started teasing its upcoming product launch on social media platforms such as HONORTechIndia Instagram and X profiles.

The brand is anticipated to introduce the Honor 90 series in India, which includes the previously launched Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro models in China. HONOR’s strategic decision to adopt the identity of “HONOR Tech” in India aims to mitigate potential legal conflicts following its separation from HUAWEI.

In May, HONOR unveiled the HONOR 90 and HONOR 90 Pro smartphones in China. These devices feature a 6.7-inch quad-curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dynamic Dimming technology to enhance eye comfort.

Powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, the HONOR 90 boasts a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. On the other hand, the HONOR 90 Pro, fueled by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, includes a 32MP telephoto camera for enhanced zoom capabilities and a 2MP depth camera. Both models offer a 50MP front camera, and the Pro variant features an additional 2MP secondary front camera.

In terms of design, the HONOR 90 series features a sleek and lightweight form, incorporating smooth rounded edges and Deeply Reinforced Glass. Drawing inspiration from luxury jewelry craftsmanship, these phones adopt the iconic N Series Dual Ring Design, adding a touch of elegance.

With a substantial 5000mAh battery, the HONOR 90 supports 66W fast charging, while the Pro model elevates it to an impressive 90W. These smartphones provide comprehensive connectivity options, including 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC, ensuring seamless digital interactions.

Reports suggest that the Honor 90 will be priced under Rs. 50,000 and is slated for a mid-September unveiling.
