Honor 9 Lite smartphone with dual front and rear cameras, Android 8.0 launched

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its latest mi-range smartphone with full screen display at an event in China. Dubbed Honor 9 Lite, the smartphone comes in Black, Blue, Grey and Black colour options and is priced at 1199 yuan for 3GB RAM version and 1499 yuan for 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and 1799 yuan for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The smartphone will go on pre-order in China from December 26.
The Honor 9 Lite comes with a 5.65-inch full HD + display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2160 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor paired and runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system topped with the EMUI 8.0 UI layer of the company.
The smartphone comes with dual SIM functionality and offers 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card of up to 256GB. The smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup. The device houses a 16MP + 2MP camera modules on the rear end. The 16MP primary camera comes with /2.0 aperture and LED flash, while the 2MP secondary camera offers PDAF. Along with this, the front of the smartphone houses a dual camera setup. The users get 13MP and 2MP front cameras accompanied with LED flash.
Measuring 151x 71.9 x 7.6mm, the smartphone comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel. The device is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFI, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
Recently, Honor launched its budget smartphone Honor 7X in India. The smartphone comes with a starting price tag of Rs 12,999 and is exclusively available on Amazon. The highlight of the smartphone is its dual rear camera setup. The device sports a 16MP + 2MP rear camera with LED flash.
