Honor 7X with dual rear cameras, ‘FullView’ display launched at a starting price of Rs 12,999

Huawei sub-brand Honor has updated its mid-ramge smartphones portfolio. The company has launched its Honor 7X smartphone in India. The smartphone was launched at an event in London along with the company’s new flagship Honor V10. Besides India, Honor 7X was launched in several other Asian and European countries.
Honor 7X price and availability
Honor 7x smartphone comes at a starting price of Rs 12,999. This is for the 32GB inbuilt storage version. The 64GB inbuilt storage model is priced at Rs 15,999. You can buy both the smartphones on Amazon India starting 12PM on December 7. Both the variants will be available in three colours – Black, Blue and Gold. Interestingly, the base price tag is the same as that of its predecessor, Honor 6X, which was launched in January this year.
Honor 7X specifications
The dual-SIM supporting Honor 7X runs EMUI 5.1-based on Android 7.0 Nougat. There is no word if the device will be getting Android 8.0 Oreo. It has a 5.93-inch ‘FullView’ display with full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS screen. It is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor in addition to 4GB RAM.
There are two cameras at the back with 16MP and 2MP sensor for depth recognition and Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF). On the other side of the body is an 8MP front-facing camera. Both the 32GB and 64GB storage versions can be expanded using microSD card up to 256GB. Backing the smartphone is a 3340mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB port and GPS. Like seen in other Honor smartphones, the Honor 7X also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei also launched its View V10 smartphone on the same day in the European countries. The smartphone is more powerful than the Honor 7X and is priced accordingly as well.
