Google Slides is set to receive built-in support for annotations

Google Slides is introducing a fresh annotation tool, allowing users to doodle and mark up their presentations during delivery.

Google aims to enhance engagement and interactivity in presentations by offering the ability to underline, circle, draw connections, and jot down quick notes directly on the slides.

While Microsoft PowerPoint users have had similar capabilities, Google Slides users will now have a native solution, eliminating the need for workarounds like browser extensions.
The annotation feature can be accessed through the three-dot menu during presentations, offering pen and eraser tools with various color options.

The rollout will commence in the two weeks following August 23, extending to both paid Google Workspace and free Google account users.
