url-shortener-android-app-6Taking serious note of users, global search giant Google has now announced a new link shrinking app for Android devices. Google’s URL Shortener App will be free for all to download. Furthermore, the app will also provide analytics detailing who is actually clicking on the link.

It must be noted that Google for long has been providing the URL shortening service goo.gl for computers. However, Google taking the mobile route will ensure users no longer have to wait to sit down at a PC to shorten or check on a link. The app is available for download from the Google Play Store.

Meanwhile, Google has also announced the availability of indoor maps in India. Users of Google Maps on Android, iOS and personal computers can now access the floor plans of 75 places in 22 Indian cities, with a majority being shopping malls although museums and convention halls have also been included. Most of these places are located in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
