Google has added new features to its Workplace suite of productivity apps

Enhanced search results in Gmail, customizable pivot tables in Sheets, and other enhancements have been announced by Google, an American technology firm, for Workspace. Curiously, users can resize the side panel for the pivot table editor. According to a blog post, it will be useful when field or column names are lengthy and the user wants to review the complete content.

Notably, the tech giant claims that when customers access the email service via the web, the results will be improved based on their Gmail search behaviour. According to the blog post, the update to Gmail search would enhance the results and make them more contextual as well as more relevant.

Google had previously revealed that users could join or present during a Google Meet call using Docs, Slides, or even Sheets. Users can now quickly share files with meeting attendees through an in-meeting chat whether they are presenting during a meeting or wish to join from a file thanks to the new version.

Additionally, users will now be able to provide all or a subset of meeting participants access to a spreadsheet or presentation thanks to the upgrade. As a result, everyone in the meeting can converse while working together. According to the blog post, all Workspace and G suite users will be able to access the aforementioned changes within the following 15 business days.

In the meantime, Google has patched yet another zero-day vulnerability in Chrome with a significant update. Since 2022, the high-severity flaw has been present and has been abused by attackers. Google identifies it as a heap buffer overflow in GPU and has tracked it as CVE-2022-413. It is a particular kind of buffer overflow attack in which the data in the heap is overwritten to take advantage of a programme feature.

On November 22 of this year, Clement Lecigne of Google’s Threat Analysis Group disclosed the vulnerability. On November 24, the tech giant published a blog post containing the remedy. “Google is aware that a CVE-2022-4135 exploit exists in the wild,” the statement reads.
