Gionee M7 to feature dual-camera setup, launch expected soon

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is expected to launch a new smartphone under its M series. The company has teased an image of the upcoming smartphone, dubbed M7, on its official Weibo account.
The image reveals two bike wheels and their placement implies a dual-camera setup. The company is collaborating with Ofo, a bike-sharing start-up from Beijing for this smartphone.
The smartphone had recently appeared on the GFXBench listing revealing its key specs. According to the listing, the handset will sport a 6-inch display (2160 x 1080 pixels) and will be powered by 2.3Ghz MediaTek MT6758 processor. In terms of storage, the device offers 6GB RAM of which 5.5GB will be available and 64GB ROM of which 52GB will be available. In terms of camera, the listing suggests that the device offers 15MP rear camera and a 7MP front camera. Running Android 7.1.1, the M7 will be capable of recording 4K videos with rear camera.
The company recently launched a budget smartphone in India called X1. The Gionee X1 comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999 and is available at select offline retailers. In terms of specifications, the Gionee X1 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with an overlaid Amigo 4.0 UI. It has a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, clubbed with 2GB RAM.
On the storage front, the Gionee X1 has a 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card (up to 256GB). There is an 8MP rear camera along with dual-tone LED flash. For selfie lovers, there’s an 8MP camera on the front.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, the Gionee X1 supports 4G LTE networks, micro USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack.
