Gionee Announces Marathon M6 Plus With 6020 mah battery Soon

Gionee will reportedly launch its Marathon M6 Plus Gioneesmartphone with a massive 6,020mAh battery in China on July 26. According to a report by GizmoChina, the smartphone recently appeared on certification website TENNA. The report also highlights that Gionee might launch two variants of the smartphone in the form of Marathon M6 and M6 Plus.

Apart from the battery capacity, the smartphone will come with an added security chip to offer enhanced encryption. However, nothing much is known about this. Going by the teaser images, the device is expected to feature a metal body along with a fingerprint sensor at the back. Despite packing a 6,020mAH battery, the device looks surprisingly thin in the pictures.

The company had recently launched its Marathon M5 Plus smartphone in India at a price of Rs 26,999. Gionee’s Marathon series of smartphone mostly focus on providing better battery life.

The Marathon M5 Plus is backed by a 5,020mAh battery and sports a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED screen of 1,080×1,920 pixels resolution. The smartphone comes with numerous ‘modes,’ including energy-efficient Eco Mode and an Extreme Mode for the best experience.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Gionee’s Amigo UI baked on top. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 64GB and can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Gionee Marathon M5 Plus has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor for better security.
