Rumours of a mini variant of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4, have been going around for quite some time. The Korean manufacturer, however, hasn’t confirmed the smartphone yet, but the new smartphone made a brief appearance on the company’s app store. The listing of the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini was spotted by Tgspot. Samsung, however, took the down the listing shortly after.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini was spotted carrying the model number GT-I9195. The smartphone is said to be cheaper version of the Galaxy S4, a device that has seen soaring sales, recently clocking 10 million units shipped since launch on April 26.

It’s not the first time information about the S4 mini has surfaced on the web hinting the phone’s imminent release. Few days ago, the S4 mini was spotted in benchmarks scores, revealing more hardware details of the smartphone.

The alleged benchmark scores show the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is powered by a Qualcomm chipset, not the Exynos 5 as rumoured earlier. The scores further confirm the smartphone will come with a 960 x 540 pixel display. The chipset is listed to have a 1.7GHz dual-core Krait processor and an Adreno 305 GPU.

The unconfirmed specifications of the Galaxy S4 mini include a 4.3-inch display, 8MP camera and 2100mAh battery.
