Fujitsu Appoints Andy Stevenson as Managing Director

Fujitsu has appointed Andy Stevenson as the Managing Director, India and Head of Middle East and India.Stevenson, a senior executive with in-depth international experience, will focus on realizing the growth plans of Fujitsu in India. He previously served as CEO, Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe (FTEL) and Executive Director, Hosting, Networks and Security, Fujitsu UK and Ireland.

François Fleutiaux, Head, Fujitsu WEMEIA – Western Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, said, “India is key to Fujitsu’s success in our region. We are pleased to have Andy Stevenson as Head of the Middle East and India, who has significant leadership experience and proven capabilities in market acceleration and growth.”

Stevenson added, “We see India as an important market with long-term promise of economic growth and stability. There is tremendous interest from Government and the private sector alike, to deploy ICT in building smart and integrated infrastructure. We will identify areas of significant growth and opportunity, renew our go-to-market proposition, leverage our global capabilities in delivering ICT services, and develop strong partnerships, backed by a strong leadership and investments.”

The new appointment is part of the overall restructuring of Fujitsu globally. In March 2014, Fujitsu announced its new organizational structure consisting of five regions – EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa), Americas, Asia, Oceania and Japan. All five regions report to the President of Fujitsu Limited and are collectively responsible for market strategy, sales growth, service excellence, and enhancing the brand image of Fujitsu in their region.
