Foxconn Opens New R&D Center in China

Mumbai / Bangalore – November 25, 2013

Foxconn, world’s leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, hosted an opening ceremony for its R&D and testing center in Nanning, China. The new R&D center will feature several labs for experiments such as reliability, failure analysis and electromagnetic compatibility testing, as well as a cloud computing datacenter.

The center will mainly focus on R&D, testing and certification of electronics and communication technologies. Foxconn is investing CNY150 million (US$24.6 million) to establish the center.

Starting 2014, Foxconn will conduct over 10 projects at the center each year with the number of researchers expected to reach 1,000 by the end of 2015.
