Fitbit Announces Fitness Trackers in India

fitnessFitbit, the maker of popular fitness wearables has launched its foray into the Indian market.

Fitbit’s fitness trackers including Fitbit Surge, Fitbit Charge HR, Fitbit Charge, Fitbit Flex, Fitbit One, Fitbit Zip and Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale would be available on Amazon India starting 3 July.

As per the company, the Fitbit platform offers an ecosystem of connected health and fitness devices with software and services, including an online dashboard and mobile apps, data analytics, motivational and social tools, personalized insights, and virtual coaching through customized fitness plans and interactive workouts. Fitbit devices are accessible on most platforms, including more than 150 iOS, Android and Windows Phone products, as well as Mac and PC computers, as per the company.

The company is introducing the following devices in the Indian market:

Fitbit Surge: It is a fitness wearable that combines features like GPS, PurePulse continuous wrist-based heart rate tracking, and all day fitness tracking with smartwatch functionality. The built-in GPS delivers stats like real-time pace and distance along with elevation on device; syncs with mobile devices to show route history, speed, elevation and workout summaries. It offers up to 7 days battery backup and will be available at Rs 19,990. The device will come in in black, blue and tangerine colours.

Fitbit Charge HR: It is a fitness tracker that offers continuous wrist-based heart rate tracking, all-day activity tracking, and caller ID and automatic sleep detection. It also offers all functions of the Fitbit Charge. It has a claimed battery backup of up to 5 days and is priced at Rs 12,990. It will be available in black, plum, blue and tangerine colours.

Fitbit Charge: An activity and sleep wristband that delivers all-day activity tracking, real-time fitness stats and caller ID, the Charge sports an OLED screen that displays all day stats including steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, floors climbed, and the time. It has a water-resistant, textured design with a secure clasp and a battery life of 7-10 days. The band will be available at Rs 9,990 in black and blue colours.

Fitbit Flex: It is an activity and sleep-tracking wristband that offers a slim, minimalistic design; tracks steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, active minutes and sleep; and has 5 days of battery life. It is priced at Rs 6,990 and will be available in 10 colours including black, slate, navy, red, tangerine, teal, violet, lime and pink.

Fitbit One: It is a clip-based activity and sleep tracker that tracks steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, floors climbed and sleep; and has 10-14 days battery life. One will be available at Rs 6,990 in black and burgundy colours.

Fitbit Zip: It is a simple clip-based activity tracker that tracks steps taken, distance traveled and calories burned; and has up to 6 months of battery life. It is priced at Rs 3,990 and will come in charcoal and magenta colours.

Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale: A high-end performance scale that tracks weight, BMI and body fat percentage over time; wirelessly syncs statistics with online graphs and mobile tools that provide a long-term overview of progress. It is priced at Rs 9,990 and will be available in black and white colours.
