Factory Images Published for the Latest Google Phones

Google Pixel 5 and 4a 5G factory as well as OTA images have been issued on the Android developers’ site for the 1st time. The smartphones were launched at the starting of October. Both the smartphones are not arriving at the Indian market and are restricted to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The images, that have been issued by the company, are meant for creators who have been continuously tinkering with mods and skins.

The company’s Android developer’s website has been modernized to reflect both OTA as well as factory images of the 2 latest smartphones. The Google Pixel 5 is called redfin (a hardware name) whereas the Pixel 4a 5G is called bramble. The images have been published for the 1st time. The Pixel 5 has 2 links in which one is for KDDI network subscribers who are in Japan, and the latter is for everyone else. There is only 1 link available for the Pixel 4a 5G.

As mentioned previously, these links are usually meant for creators who frequently do tons of software fiddling. These default images are at all times a fall-back choice for those makers who hit a roadblock in modified Read-Only Memory growth or flashing. It isn’t meant for consistent users of the smartphones, who should stick to the regular OTA technique of getting updates.

Both the smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC and include a Titan M security chip. At the back, the smartphones houses dual cameras and have a selfie camera of 8-mp inside the hole-punch cut-out on the front screen. Both phones come with onboard storage of 128GB that is not expandable through a microSD card. Pixel 5 is priced at 699 dollars, where Pixel 4a 5G is priced at 499 dollars.
