Facebook to Introduce Wi -Fi system in villages of India

Social media giant Facebook joins state-run BSNL to help it in setting up 100 Wi-Fi sites in rural areas of western and southern Indian states.
The agreement between Facebook & BSNL is for 3 years & it can be further extended for more years.
Meanwhile, BSNL has also received interest from lawmakers for setting up Wi-Fi in villages they have adopted under Sansad Adar sh Gram Yojana (SAGY) to make it a model village by 2016.
Apart from Facebook, Quad Zen will set up 2,000 Wi-Fi hot spots in West and Southern part of the country and Trimax will set up 500 hot spots in North India.
