Facebook introduces a feature allowing users to create multiple profiles, emphasizing its usefulness in maintaining a distinction between personal and professional life

Facebook has introduced a new feature that allows users to create multiple profiles under a single account, enabling them to keep their personal and professional lives separate on the platform.

This feature allows users to set up different profiles based on their varied interests and needs, similar to how they can have multiple profiles on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video or Netflix.

Users can create up to four different profiles associated with their main account, each customized for specific purposes or communities they are part of.

This feature is designed to help users organize their interactions and content sharing more effectively.

However, some features like dating, marketplace, professional mode, messenger, and payments may not be available for additional profiles at the time of launch, though Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is working to bring messenger functionality to additional profiles in the future.

The feature is currently rolling out globally and will be available to all users in the coming months.

Additionally, Meta emphasized that these additional profiles must not be used for impersonation or identity misrepresentation to ensure the safety and authenticity of users on the platform.
