Comprehensive Overview of Realme GT 5: Design, Specifications, Release Date, and More

Realme is preparing to introduce the latest addition to its popular GT smartphone lineup with the upcoming Realme GT 5. The launch of the Realme GT 5 is generating considerable anticipation, particularly within China, where the brand is based.

Recently, the official design of the Realme GT 5 was unveiled, showcasing a collaboration with BYD Electronics for the creation of the “Miracle Glass.” The device features a curved-edge rear panel, housing a distinctive dual-tone design for both the rear panel and the dual cameras. The camera module’s appearance is reminiscent of the Pixel 7 series’ visor-style module, with two sensors on the left and LED light strips on the right, capable of changing colors. This design also incorporates a transparent glass window, offering a peek at the Snapdragon processor underneath. The Flowing Silver Mirror variant has been confirmed as the launch color, and it’s worth noting that this design posed manufacturing challenges due to its intricacy.

On the front, the Realme GT 5 boasts a tall 6.74-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. The display features a centrally aligned punch-hole selfie camera and benefits from an independent X7 display chip developed by PixelWords for an enhanced visual experience.

Underneath the surface, the Realme GT 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum of 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The device will be available in two variants, one of which is equipped with a substantial 5,240mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging. A high-end version of the device will come with a GaN charger that can fully charge the phone in just 18 minutes.
