Carl Pei enters again into the tech world with his new company literally named “Nothing”!

Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus has left the company and started his new tech company literally named nothing.

“It’s been a while since anything interesting happened in tech. It is time for a fresh breeze of change,” – Carl Pei, CEO and founder of Nothing. “Nothing’s mission is to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future. We believe that the best technology is beautiful, yet natural and intuitive to use. When sufficiently advanced, it should fade into the background and feel like nothing.”

Carl Pei, Founder and CEO of NOTHING.

Nothing will be focusing on consumer technology based in London, and consist of multiple tech leaders as investors including Tony Fadell (Founder of Nest Labs), Casey Neistat (YouTuber), Kevin Lin (Co-founder of Twitch), Steve Huffman (CEO and co-founder of Reddit), Josh Buckley (CEO of Product Hunt) in a seed financing round in December 2020 that raised a total of $7 million.

Carl Pei refers to it as a giant reset button and has also mentioned “Doing Nothing” as a bio in his twitter profile.

We should expect a great refresh for a tech product that Carl is planning to bring into the market in the first half of the year. Carl has been performing and coming up with great consumer product while he was a part of OnePlus and we should expect the same innovation gap and greatness from Nothing by Carl.
