Canon Pioneers Photo Consultancy Solutions in India

Canon India announced the expansion of its Master Service Centre in New Delhi. Located in the commercial hub of the city, Connaught Place, the Canon Master Service Centre has been strengthened over a total area of 5375 sq. ft. and will provide Canon’s customers with international level service experience.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Executive Vice president, Canon India, said, “We, at Canon, are proud to announce the expansion of this high-tech master service centre, which is a significant step in meeting Canon’s plans of expanding its service network across India. The service centre is equipped with well trained technicians, testing equipments, sufficient spare and in all – a better ambience. With this expansion, Canon promises to set an industry benchmark in camera service in India. This move is an extension of Canon’s focus on providing enhanced personalized services of international standards to its customers wherein they would get complete touch and feel of the products.”

“Canon has more than 3 million customers for cameras & DSLR in India. We aim to provide better experience while their product is being serviced including special consultation room & trainings room. This concept will be rolled out to other centers around the country. Today, Canon has 14 Camera service center in the country located in 14 cities,’’ he added.

With the new look and added space, the new Canon Master Service Centre is capable of handling up to 120 walk-in customers on a day with a seating capacity of up to 24 customers. In order to curtail the waiting time, Canon has also increased the number of customer interaction counters at the centre. Till last year, Canon Master Service Centre had the capacity to cater 15000 customers annually, which will now be capable to handle double the number.

Printing Zone with Pro Printer and an internet kiosk facility at the reception are some of the highlights of the MSC which is equipped with all the necessary tools of international standards. A new training centre with a seating capacity of 20 has been established at the centre which will be utilized to conduct training for camera engineers, customer interaction sections, resolve technical aspects related queries and photography training for Canon Edge customers and their kids to enhance their photography skills.

In addition to this, the service personnel of Canon will be constantly trained by the trainers from Canon’s South & South East Asia Training Centre located at Singapore in order to familiarize with all the latest updates and technological advancements in the range.

The face lifted MSC will act as a model service centre to be set up in other cities. Canon plans to invest  Rs. One crore to expand its service network further which will include a new Canon Master Service Centre at Chennai, a new ASF inauguration at Lucknow and expansion plans at Jaipur.  The center will function as comprehensive service provider for better customer experience during after sales support of Canon products for both walk-in and on-site customers. This is expected to significantly reduce the turn-around time and be closer to the customer assisting their immediate service needs.
