PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Rajasthan, chairman Dr Ajay Data applauded the budget presented by the chief minister Vasundhara Raje. He said that the budget is progress oriented and innovative and also would go long way to generate demand in the economy and give a push to overall growth and development of the state.
Major focus areas of the budget are drinking water, tourism, industrial growth and road connectivity. Giving a boost to start ups and Made in Rajasthan, Raje has provisioned an assistance of Rs 10.85 crore for funding start ups ( which was demanded by PHDCCI) while proposed a budget of Rs 5690 crore to PWD for road projects.
She has also announced a marketing budget of Rs 62.33 crore for promoting tourism in the state.
Putting a special emphasis on skill development, she announced upgradation of ITIs and provisions for jobs for those undergoing training in these ITIs in companies which have signed MoUs in Resurgent Rajasthan.
In a welcome step, Raje has exempted tax on solar torches, biomass etc which will help in promoting green energy.
