BMW to Launch it’s third-gen X6 and Mahindra’s concept car Funster EV

Mahindra is very bold when it comes to creating concepts and showcased a plethora EVs at the Auto Expo 2020. One of which was the star of the shoe, The Mahindra Funster EV, with its sharp, futuristic, and stunning looks was a show-stopper.  Underpinning the Funster is the MESMA platform of electric vehicles, which is the base for all the EV’s introduced by Mahindra. It sports 59.1kWh battery pack that makes it capable of covering more than 500KM. Things look so promising with this EV, with its 313hp engine and a dual-motor system makes it possible for the Funster to reach 0 to 100km/h in under 5 seconds. Being has radical as it maybe it still is a Mahindra vehicle in all aspects. It flaunts triple Led headlamp setup with sharp-looking headlights and a voguish light bar floating across the back. The Funster also has the traditional Mahindra slotted grille in the front with the company logo embedded in a gold sea, giving it a luxurious and prestigious appearance. The Mahindra Funster EV is a convertible vehicle with a three-door concept and a 2+2 layout. The Funster gleaming bold exterior with muscular proportions a giving a new meaning to convertible SUVs. This flawless machine has scissor doors with a classy short window line and amazing all digital interiors. Its flamboyant style is sure to leave people wanting this vehicle to enter production, though it is highly unlikely. Critics are expecting to see these designs carried on to the new-gen XUV 500 2020 though the company has made no such promises. The next-gen XUV 500 is speculated to be released in the second half of 2020. It will be exciting to see how Mahindra, the home-grown automaker will integrate these futuristic designs into their current line-up of urban vehicles. The new XUV 500 will be a revamped version of the car upgraded to have the latest features and capabilities.

BMW, the leading automobile manufacturer, teased a picture of the new BMW X6 ahead of its India launch on June 11. This SUV-coupe is a much-awaited third-gen vehicle from the carmaker as it was supposed to be released earlier and had to be postponed because of the novel coronavirus. It features 340Hp and 450Nm of torque. It sports a four-wheel driving system copulated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and AWD. Though the company launched the global variant much earlier flaunting the BMW xDrive50i engine capabilities, the Indian variant will have an xDrive40i though it yet to be confirmed. The all-new BMW X6 can also light-up the double-kidney grill with Adaptive LED laser light and headlights giving it a luxurious look. It also has BMW’s iDrive system installed in the full HD touchscreen panel. The BMW X6 will be made available in two models: xLine and M Sport. The new BMW X6 will compete with the likes of Porsche Cayenne Coupe or the Audi Q8; hence will be priced between Rs 90 lakh to 1 crore.
