BICSI India District Conference 2014 Concludes with Compelling Showcase of Technology

BICSI – the premier association supporting advancements in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community – concluded the BICSI India District Conference and Exhibition 2014. The conference agenda and keynote sessions addressed by stalwarts from the ICT industry, created an engaging platform for the attending delegates; showcasing latest innovations, best practices & standards and opportunities in the IT infrastructure industry. The conference witnessed presence of 400 plus professionals from the ICT community.

BICSI1 To commemorate its decade  plus presence in the country,  BICSI India launched the  first comprehensive Buyer’s  Guide for the ICT community.  The Buyer’s Guide features  high-level content and  focuses on extensive industry  listing, that would help ICT   professionals easily locate Manufacturers, System Integrators and Consultants offering products and solutions unique to the industry.

The conference included 10 technical presentations focused on topics such as; Datacenter Management, Trends in Networking, Trends and Standards in LAN cabling, Innovations in Fiber Optics, Convergence, Innovations in Simplifying Networks and Generic Telecommunications Bonding & Grounding.

Chief Guest at the event, Ms. Tanusree Deb Barma, IAS, Managing Director – KBITS and Director – Department of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, in her inaugural address, stressed on government’s commitment and support, in creating a favorable ecosystem for the IT infrastructure and skill development in the ICT industry and how BICSI can help provide strategic direction to these initiatives.

Kothari, District Chair, India District, BICSI delivered a thought provoking speech, covering market and technology trends and BICSI’s initiatives to empower ICT professionals, along with education and training opportunities so that they can adopt global standards, best practices and methodologies.

Ms. Shaheen Meeran, Managing Director of Schnabel in her keynote address explained about the latest standards in datacenter, concepts of modular datacenter and how energy efficiency is a key parameter in today’s IT infrastructure.

Leading brands associated with this annual show were; HP Networking, TE Connectivity, Belden, Commscope, Corning, Legrand, Panduit, D-link, Fluke Networks, NETRACK and Jyotitech Industries.

The BICSI India District Conference & Exhibition 2014 concluded amidst much enthusiasm and knowledge sharing amongst the attendees.
