AT&T to provide telepresence services to Tata Comms

The deal will enable the company to access and facilitate near real-time, immersive telepresence meetings around the world between companies that are connected to AT&T Business Exchange or Tata Communications

BANGALORE, INDIA: AT&T announced that it has signed a deal with Tata Communications for global telepresence services.

att”We are delighted to be entering into this inter-provider agreement with AT&T to expand the global telepresence ecosystem,” said Peter Quinlan, vice president, Integrated Business Video Services, Tata Communications. “Inter-carrier agreements, through Tata Communications’ Global Meeting Exchange network are part of our long term strategy to enable an open, global telepresence ecosystem for business video collaboration, connecting customers regardless of network or service provider.”

AT&T has also entered into an agreement with T-Systems for providing global telepresence services.

Through the inter-provider agreements with Tata Communications and T-Systems, AT&T Telepresence Solution customers can now extend collaboration across a broader set of global telecommunication provider networks.

In a statement, AT&T also announced that its Telepresence Solution is now Open Visual Communications Consortium (OVCC) compliant service and can offer multi-vendor video collaboration across a range of service providers.
