Apple to begin the WWDC 2020 on 22nd June new software and hardware features expected

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is one of the most critical events in the calendar year when the company showcases its software and hardware might. Due to coronavirus pandemic, this year’s WWDC 2020 will be an online event starting from June 22 to June 26. And Apple is expected to unveil new software are hardware designs, they will conduct live sessions free for all to help developers get a sneak peek into their system which will help them develop better apps for Apple devices. There is always something exciting at the WWDC since Apple has a habit of bringing their hardware designs like they brought the HomePod and MacBook Pro in 2017 and 2019. The event begins with a special keynote from the company CEO Tim Cook, and then the proceedings go into more specific platforms for developers to have sessions with Apple’s engineers.

Though WWDC 2020 is more of a software event Apple has been introducing their hardware designs during the keynote event hence there are leaks that Apple will unveil the new iMac design which hasn’t been updated since 2012. It will sport an iPad Pro like design aesthetically with minimal bezels and T2 processor with AMD Navi GPU. Apple will also announce that they will be replacing the Intel chips inside their MacBook line-ups with their ARM-based processors almost after 12 years after shifting to Intel. This is supposed to open a new chapter in the company’s life since their mobile chipsets are the most powerful processors and some argue could even power laptops. So it will be interesting to see this change from the company. Developers will be looking forward to this development through the first devices with ARM processors won’t arrive until next year. Also, the launch of new versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and TVOS is expected at the WWDC 2020. IOS 14 will be the latest offering from the company which will be made available for all IOS 13 running devices. The company is expected to bring significant changes with new software, and we will get to see what changes has Apple made at WWDC 2020. Similar features will be made available in iPadOS14 whereas the TVOS 14 will feature an all-new interface with performance enhancements and content upgradation. Apple is also planning to launch its fitness app, which will come to all the OS 14 softwares. MacBook is expected to receive a minor change in macOS 10.16; even a few changes in the new watchOS7, the new features on these softwares are yet to be unveiled. Another rumor that has been surfacing is the availability of Airpod Studio which Apple will launch this year, the over-ear headphones will rival the likes of Bose and BBeats.
