Android Lollipop Update Available For Moto G Smartphone In India

Android Lollipop update has been rolled out for Moto G smartphones, both the first and second generation, in India. The update has been rolled out nearly one month after Moto X (2nd Gen) received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Moto GThe company tweeted, “#Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (2nd Gen) in US & #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device!” The update is expected to arrive as an Over-The-Air (OTA) one, but users can also check for the update notification manually.

If it says ‘Your system is up to date’, then better luck next time. Some special features have been launched in the Moto X update and now let’s see if the similar features are rolled out in the Moto G as well. Some of the features which are expected to come with the Lollipop update include ‘Material Design’ which will alter the complete design on your device. More white space is offered between elements and a 3D like feel can also be experienced.

Lollipop also supports better burst mode and fine settings tuning. Full resolution frames can be captured now and raw formats can be shot like YUV and Bayer RAW. A new battery-saver feature will ensure that the life of your device is extended up to 90 minutes if you cannot charge it immediately.
