Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) smartphones will reportedly start receiving the latest Android 5.0 Lillipop updates from this week onwards. Notably, Moto X will be the first Android smartphone outside the Nexus line to get an update for the latest version of Android.
The reports added reveal that LG G3 smartphone was also lined up to get the Android Lollipop update, but it would require a manual set up. The Moto X android update would be available over-the-air (OTA), user can also check their smartphone manually to verify if they have received the update or not. To check that out, user will have to go to: Settings > About Device > System Update. If the update is available is will notify you there, otherwise you’ll need to try after some time.
The company claims that it will soon start rolling out the Android Lollipop update in India for the other Motorola handsets as well. Apart from the regular updates available with Android 5.0 Lollipop, the MotoX (Gen 2) smartphone will also get some exclusive features and some functionality changes. The update will involve new ‘Downtime’ and ‘Interruption’ settings, which will allow you to decide upon which notifications and contacts to be lined up, based upon the time.
