Amazon has said recently that it had opened 3 extra logistics centers in Brazil to take benefit of the boost the outbreak has given to Amazon in South America’s biggest economy. The latest units are already working in Minas Gerais and the Rio Grande do Sul and the capital city of Brasilia. They upsurge the number of Amazon logistics centers in Brazil to 8, expanding its reach to every side of Brazil.

 

 

The development, which adds 75,000 square meters of distribution space, is Amazon’s major since it has started to operate in Brazil in the year, 2012. As per Amazon, it will generate 1.5k direct jobs. The company’s chief executive in Brazil has said that the new centers will let amazon instantly raise the no. of cities where Amazon Prime users can receive deliveries within 2 business days to over 500 from 400.

Also, Brazil is the nation with the fastest growth in Amazon Prime subscriptions. In current months, 1000s of Brazilian corporates have wandered to e-commerce platforms as a result of social distancing and lockdown measures.

Despite the steady easing of the measures, the movement to digital sales has continued.
